200x problem...need help

alright my x smoked alittle so i put in new rings, i just pulled the head and jug off and didnt take the piston out to do it, but anyways i put it all back togather and threw it in the frame and went to kick it over and it fires right up just like it used to, runs great...BUT, when i drive it its all perfect, when it gets up on the higher rpms it almost sounds like it knocks, it does it like for like half a second and then stops right away, sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt, its only when it gets high in rpms, what do you think it is

is it the timming chain being loose
they can be loud

do you think it might of jumped timing, i marked it and everything and lined it back up to the marks, would it be a loose timing chain, idk it a wierd sound, almost like a backfire sound from the motor, idk its kind of hard to explain
