Since my plug is dry and can't seem to figure it out. Can I pour gas into the spark plug hole to see if it will start? Just trying to rule out other things.
If you can - does it matter how much gas you put in there?

Sure, but only a small amount. If your problem is fuel delivery, you will find out in a kick or two. It should fire with just a shot of gas in there, so don't overdo it.

I put some gas in the spark plug hole and it still didn't fire up - I'm lost. What is the next thing to check out. Its a 84 200es.
Before this past week it was running fine - but now I have dry plug and can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
Any ideas?????

OK - I am getting spark. Put more gas in hole and it fired up. Now it seems to run - does this make any sense?
Before wasn't getting any gas to plug now it is running fine since put more gas in spark plug hole.
Seems to be smoking now (gray color).
