Max, try magic racing, they have a good deal on chain and sprocket combos. I order from them alot, if I place my order before noon its at my door the next day if I phone it in. I ordered a x-ring chain kit last year for under $80 including both sprockets. It looks like they've changed their combos so you will have to ask them for a chain upgrade price on either their racer kit or pro kit unless they have it missprinted.


I just called them and the add is missprinted. The racer kit comes with a o-ring chain and the pro kit comes with a x-ring (same kit I bought last year). They said they are going to fix the listing for them asap.

I also priced the chains seperate,
o-ring for honda $50.00
x-ring for honda $70.00

They have very good customer service to boot.

Its beena few years, but I got a Parts Unlimited o-ring out of Dennis Kirk for about $50, and it held up just as well as the expensive ones. You know the type of riding.

the best way to go is an o-ring you wont notice really a difference but you will notice is in the life of the chain it will last about twice as long if you keep it lubed right. go with the o-ring i cant speak for an x-ring

Try sledpartsguy on ebay. I've bought a few sets from him, have one on my '86 R and one on my 400EX right now. Prices are reasonable and quality is decent.

Does anybody know what size chain and how many links I would need for a 200x? running stock sprockets. Or an easy way to find out as I Dont have chain at all for it.

Sled parts guy is where the chain on my 500 came from. I bought like 10ft of it at one time and then just cut it to length. Seems to be holding up pretty good so far considering what it went through at haspin.

i also got a chain and sprocket kit from sled parts guy for alittle over 70 dollars. I sent him an email and he put together a 14/40 sprocket combo and a blue colored o ring chain and i had it with in a few days.
