I was told that Fix-a-Flat has ammonia in it and that will eat away at the rim. Is that true?

Ammonia WILL eat away at aluminum, or at least put a haze on the polished finish if it sits there too long. HOwever, I o not know if Fix-A-Flat or similar brands have ammonia in them. I guess just read the label.

yeah. My firend didnt put anything on the rim to help seat the bead on your tire so if i leave it alone overnight it goes flat. And I'm going for a big ride monday and noone is open until monday so i cant get a tube and i cant reseat the tire with the tools I have.

Does slime really seal beads? Ive got a tire that i cant get the bead to seal and was wondering. ive tried bead sealer and it still leaks.
