How can i make my stock 125m pipe louder?. The spark arrester isnt in it..it was gone when i bought it, and i just used a propane torch and heated it all up,and the end of the pipe i held the torch in for a while, then sprayed it down with water. did that twice. Will that make it louder?, or is there another way to do it?..i havent put the pipe back on yet,so if anyone has any ideas please let me know..thanks

You don't want to make it louder, but quieter. Your neighbors will be pissed every time you fire it up (unless you live in the sticks). Think of someone riding around you house on a Harley every day. You'd get sick of it after a while.

yah i know what you mean. i dont ride it around the neighborhood. Everyone around here takes there trikes and quads to a mudhole to drive them. LAst night i couldnt even hear the engine on my M because of the trucks, and all the loud azz atv's drivin around. so i was wantin to make it louder.

Dont be foolish. Leave the pipe alone.

yes taking off the pipe will mess up the valves they will suck themselvs into the engine
to make it louder just take off the scliencer run just the header pipe it will be like running open headers on a truck

If im not mistaken, the reason taking the pipe off will ruin the valves is due to the fact that after the valves get good and hot, they will cool too quickly after being shut down and warp. The pipe holds enough heat in to let them cool more slowly without warping. Theoretically this will only happen to a valve that is open. This is what happens to a top fuel (nitro) car after every run. All the valves that are open when the motor is shut down are junk.

Ill give you a hint. When you change a pipe, sometimes you have to retune your carb. May run leaner or may run richer due to the change in airfow. What do you think happens when you completely remove your pipe?

If you want your pipe to be louder just put a strait pipe out the back after it(the origianal pipe)curves towards the back. My freind has a atc 200 and did it. It is really loud and runs great.[/img]
