250R cool head question.

The cool head on my 250R does not have the mount that mounts to the frame. I'm concerned that this will put extra stress on the frame and potentially crack it. Anyone else have a head like mine? If I remember correctly it a Paul Turner.

I run the same head in my trx without the head stay. Torque the rest of your motor mounts to manufacture specs and you will be fine.

you should have gotten a Prodesign version of the cool head. they have the rear upper motor mount on them. i have one on my trx250r that uses o rings instead of a gasket.

i just seen one like yours on ebay for $41 dollars with 3 extra domes. i passedon it because of it missing the mount. i'm afraid of it breaking also

I wouldn't worry about it a whole lot...in the TRX's some people disconect it because a couple frames have broke in the same area. I doubt you'll notice much of a difference in vibration or anything else.
