XR200 on 200x?

hello All, I was wondering if it is possible to switch the RT engine cover of my XR200 with the cover of a 200X? My 1984 200X atc has a 1983 XR200 engine and I would like to kickstart forward instead of backwards, like it does now.

You also need the longer kickstart shaft from teh 200x for it to work. That would require pulling the engine and splitting the case.

Yeah, I have to split the case to fix the kickstart gear problem anyways so I though I could do the conversion at the same time.

just buy a rebuilt 200x motor and save the xr motor

But if you use the XR trany parts (all but the kickstart sharft) then you have a 6 speed 200x!

thats true, you can always use an extra gear it seems.
