im hoping to get this done before summer, its not raining to day so i think ill do a little blasting but its too cold now to do any painting,i need to get a storage shed so i could use it for a paint booth as i cant paint in my shop the fumes go up into the house (shop is in basement) although i might try to prime the frame today.but its 50 degrees F.so i have 2 variables against me #1 $$$$$$ #2 weather.Im going to shoot for having every thing painted and on the frame ready for plastics by april hopfully.

Its a bunch of work, I cheated and had a shop blast and paint my frame for me. 50 bucks and I supply the paint. Post some pics of the parts when you finish I need some ideas on my auto x project. Here's a pic of the 200x I just finished and put the first scratch into this weekend.

That little x of yours blazer is beutiful,im embarrased to post pics of mine as it will not turn out as sweet as yours ,im working with a budget of roughly $300.00 including paint, blast media, fenders, rear mst cyl rebuild, headlight.yes it is alot of work and next time i think ill have the frame etc.etc. blasted primed and painted or powdered on the next resto .350x.oh yea the front fender on your lil x is a 85-86 250r correct i want to use that on my lilx.these are the pics so far i have other parts painted but want to wait till i get motor on frame to show them ,again this is embarrasing and my shop is messy

oh yea that motor sittin there is not finished I put head pipe and breather tube on and blocked the openings so no sand would get in (hopfully)it still needs a little more blasting ,the frame needs sanding then paint and the skid plate needs coat on opposite side, kicker and pegs need to be sanded and painted.

Your shops messy! you should see mine!. I just parted out 3 bikes. Looks good,Making progress. yeah the front fender is a 85-86. I bought a black front for my auto 200x project. I took the day off so I could stay home and paint parts. I'm trying something different. I found some rattle can paint that gives that hammered look. maybe a couple coats of that and clear coat. I just shot my front hub and shock res. looks okay. I'm trying that car undercoatong on the bottom of the skidplates. Its suppose to be paintable. we'll see. keep up the good work.

Hey are you sure your mastercylinder needs rebuilt. I ended up using a vacuuum pump to bleed mine. Sucked the air right out. I thought I was going to have to do a rebuild, it just took forever to bleed. the pump helped a bunch.

yea i definately have to do a rebuild the cyl.i got is off aparts bike it was all oxidised and rusted the piston in it was trashed ,the circlip holding it all together was so rusted it was like welded to master cyl. the rod is definately trashed before i took it apart it was siezed and wouldent move rusted up pretty bad ,bad enough that im replacing it with a new one .
this week end i plan on painting motor ,frame ,kicker ,both brake calipers, foot pegs ,rear hubs.then its time to put it back together.

My sandblaster was taking his sweet time getting to me, And I figured it was going to take him forever to paint it so I let him blast it and took my frame to the powdercoater. Hope it comes out nice. I was thinking on the way home about having him do the rear axle. I wonder if the heat would hurt it. If you need any mastercylinder parts let me know. I have a couple bodys out in the shop taken apart needing kits. Have fun painting!
