Does anyone here happen to have or know where to get a front brake master cylinder for a 86 Tecate? Or happen to know of somewhere that I can get a replacement that will work?

About 90% of front brake master cylinders are interchangeable if you change the whole assembly w/ lever. There are slight variations in volume of fluid being pumped, usually not critical. I dont know the Kaw specifically, but most use the same type banjo bolt connection for the brake line. The only other possible problem would be one that is physically shaped in such a way as to interfere with the thottle. A used assembly usually sells for less than the cost of a replacement seal in the one you have.

I used a 400ex master on mine, with that and a stainless line, well, the brake works......almost too good.

I've got a banshee one on my 85, fits like a glove.
