Well i am working on my 70 and all is good but, a friend was telling me that a 110 would fit in it. I was thinking that if a 110 will work then how about a 125 with electric start? I think it would be cool to have more power and the electric start on mu 70.

A 110 motor will not bolt right up to a 70.
I am sure that with some fabrication you could make this work.
With some fabrication you could do just about anything,
But to answer yout question the 110 motor will not just fit, Maybe there is some one who has fabricated the frame to accept it, but it will not just bolt up. You will have to change the size of your rear sprocket whereas the 110 runs a larger chain than the 110. I have however seen a guy put atc 70 forks and rims on his 110, which looked kind of funny, but it was for his kid. You can buy a big bore kit for that 70 and I think they sell an aftermarket motor that will fit your frame that is a 110.

NO!...the 110 drops in all you have to do is elongate the front mout bracket holes for it to line up perfect...And change the sprocket i think.

Dude I tryed it it will not bolt right up the 2 mounting bolts in the back do no line up with the 70. I tried to do this a few years back before I could fiqure out how to set points on a atc 70. The holes don't line up, the chains are different size. Could not find a new sprocket to fit the rear axle.

oh, ok. so one said it will work and the other sait it wont. I see that it will probably take some work to do it. I will probably just run the 70 engin then. Not looking to build a racer or anything.

Anything is possible if you are willing to put the time and effort and money into it, But if you are looking for a quick swap, then this would not be project you would want to undertake, I remember when my son was smaller I could not get his atc 70 right and I had a good running 110 motor and I had the same brain fart you did, spend a few hours messing with a swap when I discovered how much work was involved, and what needed to be done. Finally figured out the atc 70 and its been running fine, of course it don't go too fast with my fat ass on it, (funny) I tinkered and tinkered with it because it would seem to me not to run right and then I realized this machine was not designed to carry a 200 pound man up a steep hill. Worked fine with my 85 pound son though! LOL

If you don't want to put a honda atc110 engine in, the aftermarket engines work. And you can have manual or auto with electric start. The wiring is the toughest part. People fabricate a battery holder that attaches to the bottom frame skid plate. people also put atc110 motors into 70 frames. People also put atc125 motors into atc70 frames, it just takes a little extra work. A good site for atc70 hop up parts is beatrice cycle. If you want to see what people do with 70's, check out glamis dunes .com. Look for atc70 at glamis dunes. These guys eat and breathe 70's and hold what they call the regatta for just 70's. They show pictures of suspension 70's, I have 2 of them myself. Go to search above and put in suspension 70 and you'll see what they look like. The aftermarket 110 engines do not have the hi-low gearbox and fit real nice in the 70 frame. The biggest problem is getting the carb to fit and they make special intake manifolds or some people turn their intake manifold around backwards depending on the engine they are installing. There is even a person that posts on this board that modifies 200x engines to fit into the atc70! I would like to get one for my suspension 70. Do some more research, you'll see what you can and can't do. It's easier to put a 110 in a 70 than it is to make most of the conversions people do to their trikes.

Yes is does fit and it is WAY cool. I've done three of these conversions for friends. This is my personal 70/125M. The donor motor is from a 1984 ATC125M with electric start.

Nice, but the silver glitter paint job and any utterance of the word "Bling" makes it disturbing. :)
