ATC 70 rear sprocket, who makes them?

I'll start out by saying that I have a 78 atc 70 with a 78 atc 90 engine in it. So I have a little problem now. The gearing is all wrong with these comination of sprockets. I am runnig the stock front for the 90 and stock rear for the 70. Well that is like 1:1 gearing just about so it is kinda hard to ride around except for in low range. So does anyone know of anyplace I can get a larger rear sprocket for the 70? or what other sprocket will fit on my axle?

I got mine from beatrice cycle (dratv.com), and if I remember right, they had a couple of size options available. I think you can buy just the rear, but I bought a kit that had new chain, front, and rear sprockets. Good luck.

Yeah dratv is the best place in the world for 70 stuff. However only a couple of teeth larger isn't going to do much for me. I can't add any more on the front sprocket either. I guess I am going to be retro fitting another sprocket onto this un less i can find someplace that carries more sizes but I doubt it.

You need to go smaller on the front to solve your problem. You should be able to get something that works??

Do you know what size your going to need? I can make one up for you. will you want a seperate hub or riveted to the sprocket like stock? with a seperate hub you can change gearing easier, plus our sprockets have many different designs, custom also available. do you plan on adding horsepower to it? You may want to do that first and then gear it to the increased ponies, you only have to change the gearing once.

I don't know what the heck I was thinking saying add another tooth to the front!! That is the opposite of what I want to do! I will have to look into a tooth smaller than what I have on the front now.

I'm pretty sure Parts Unlimited has the stock sized sprocks. As for custom sizes, Sidewinder will mill one out for you if you want.
