I cant remember who it was that was looking for a new bearing carrier for their Tecate, but I found a company outta Omaha, Ne that makes billet tapered bearing carriers for all years Tecate-3's and 4's. $180 for all of them.

That was me and probably anyone here with a Sick Tecate looking for somthing like that. Would go good on my New Cal-Fab+2. Just got the cost to get her Polished. $200-$300 OW
But if im doing that and the Raptor Shock, and Extended Axle Whats another $200 for a good Carrier.:beer

I contacted them and its from www.radmfg.com
They used to make them but said they stopped due to no sales. He said if there was an order for about 10-20 for the Tecate they might make them again. So do we have 10-20 Tecate owners looking for an Alluminumn Bearing Carrier. I'll take one for sure.
Anyone with a little money might be able to order some and make a little profit selling them over the next few years?

I'd like to have one but I'm gonna switch to a T4 carrier so I can get an extended axle and have a solid rear end. the pivot style carrier on all T3's have always had trouble staying in adjustment and not bending the swing arm. the only thing that helps is putting a second adjustment screw on the other side of the carrier.
now if kawasaki would have made the carrier adjustable via bolt holes instead of slots, you would never have to worry about it coming out of adjustment. but of course that was then and this is now, so I gues we have to come up with our own alternatives.

Used to make them about 4 years ago. He said they might make a batch if they got an order for 10-20 of them. Im down for one, any other Takers on a Billit Rear Bearing Carrier for your 84-85 Tecate?
I see alot of Sweet Tecates on this thread that could use something like that. Buy em or lose them forever. He said they may even have the Drawings of the 84-85. I may ask to buy them and have them machined by someone. It would be nice to have blueprints of a Part like that so one could be made whenever someone needs one. If not there wont be many Tecates around 20 Years from now.
$1,400 for 10 of em to be made. Thats a little less than $150 each. We need at least 10 people who will want one for the 84-85 Tecate. Same with 86 Im sure.
Tell me more about this T4 Set up. Will it need 86 Parts allso? They dont make an extended Axle for the 84-85 Tecate? Will this work on my Cal-Fab?
I see they make the 87 Carrier for $230 Whats all involved? For once I would love to be able to just add a part without having to get a bunch of different Parts for it to work.

well my green ridin buddy, it is not a direct swap at all for any year T3. the T4 carrier is a cam style carrier that is in the 83-86 250r's. the only way I am making it work is I am having a buddy of mine in town make me a +2 aluminum swinger with a machined housing for the T4 carrier.

Do you know if these will be made with the Dual Row or Tapered bearings? Nevertheless I will buy 2.

Dual Bearings installed or Tapered and yes Oil zerk or whatever. They will be Just like the ones they make now in the Pics.
Thats 4 need 6 more 84-85 Tecate Riders to get a Billit Bearing Carrier.
If I bought 10, could I sell them within 6 months?

Anyone else, we got 4 we need 6 more people to get the 10 made. We would be the only 10 with Billit Carriers at $150 each. Better than stock.

So they make Good Carriers?
I'd like a 2 Row one and I guess there stronger and dont need any maitnence. $150 for a Billit Dual Row Carrier isnt bad. If we can have at least 5 Definite Buyers I may Foot the rest of the Bill and try to sell them to get my money back.
As for looks I want one because I have a Cal-Fab that will be Polished and am going to get a new extended axle. I Will allso get the Spring on the Raptor Shock Powder Coated that Tecate Green with Gold Flake. Just to keep up with all you guys building these sick rides.:w00t:

if its available I would rather have a tapered bearing rather than duals. they handle the twisting loads better. if thats the case count me in. the best way to go about it though would be for someone to purchase the ten and then sell them outright themselves. just my thoughts

yes taper is the way, got to love the way they handle the side load, very good design.

If you just want to switch to an aftermarket extended axle a 400ex one will work in the 86-87 T3 bearing carrier. On mine I redrilled an 84-85 T3 brake disc to work and a 350x axle nut. It all works out great and is around 50 inches wide.

I have a guy with a CNC here on the island Meat, I'll know later if he can do just the one carrier or if he'd need a run of them. From the sounds of what he does I'm thinkin if you had the blueprint I'd be able to get them done one at a time.
Getting him to shave the head on the Tecate as well if his price is right.

I'd buy one and maybe two '86-7 tapered carriers.

My Trike is Pretty much Dialed in. I need the Bling and the Perfermance so which ever one is better I want. I may be able to buy them all in about 30 days but I would need a Guarantee that at least 7-8 sell right off.
How many want one of these? 5 People?
He said to just copy a Stock carrier dim's and make it. I guess thats all they did. I dont have a shop to measure and design one or I would make Parts galore for Trikes. No one else does. Except Miltech thank the light and Aussie:w00t:
They sell the 87 Tecate I believe. Check the site
