Ever since Ive let my brother drive it, he somehow broke the rear brake. Now the lever goes all the way down and nothing happens, Ive tried the adjustment screw at the back and nothing. Im going to tear into this thing tomorrow so any help would be wonderful!
Ill tell ya one thing, pulling a massive catwalk and not having a rear brake to control with is something I learned. Now that takes practice!
Thanks guys!:TrikesOwn

I can sure tell you this, if the brake drum hasn't been off in a while, it's a beast to get off. I bet I've spent 20 hrs on my rear brakes and rear end on my S. I use my brakes only for emergencies, hehe, so I won't wear em out! LOL

O, and that pic in my avatar is about as high as I try to wheelie the S, cause I don't wanna use the brakes, hehe.

probably the pads came off the metal piece they are glued to.

If the lever goes all the way down. like you mentioned, you may have a broken brake cable.

my first three wheeler was an brand new it would out run a 200x. straight out x culd get the jump. Just remember when getting the drum off all things are p[ossible with a big enough hammer...lol if there not engaging at all shouldn't be to bad to get off. dont use any kinda breakloose spray like pb blaster it gets in the metal and the brakes won't work to well. Your brother didn't oil them to stop the squeek did he.lol did that to a gocart whn i was a kid . I live on a hill get the picture did not stop easy....

I'm sure whatever it is its a simple fix. Mechanical drums are really easy to work on. Might just need pads. I would just open it up and see what you find.

Well I cracked her today. All seemed normal, when you push down the lever still goes all the way, I tried adjusting them with no luck. And you can see the pads move. So im assuming my pads are wore down to the point of not working, any other ideas?
