Hello all! Just joined the forum as I am purchasing an ATC110 from a friend this week. He said it runs pretty well, but the transmission is locked up when in gear. I will be picking it up this week and hopefully can fix the problem fairly inexpensively.
Have any ideas before I tear into it?
Thanks!

:welcome: To the boards-----
Tear in first ---ask questions later????
It may be obviously apparent as soon as you look--maybe not----But your eyes have to be the judge of that-----
As far as hopp up mods------My suggestion ---which will be the single most powerful mod you can possibly make--------BUY A MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will be well worth the price in the long run--

Thanks for the reply. I'm buying the ATC110 with a manual, tire chains, a medium sized moto-cross helmet. It has a newer front tire and headlight. Cost me a whole $125.

Nice solid trikes. Im sure its something bad or a quick fix. The 110 is a good trike and if you get her going it will be a fun ride to learn on. A bit small maybe so it might be a bit more tippy but only at real slow speed.Thats what happens when im on my Honda 125M sometimes.
I dont know if it has Hi/Low Gear But if it does put it in Neutral pull the shifter all the way to hi and push the trike back and forth while pulling the shifter. Put it in gear and push it back and forth while pulling on the Lever. You just want to make sure that the Hi/Low isnt the problem and works. If it doesnt engage dont buy it unless its for cheap. Allso Drain the Oil and Finger it for Metal. If alot maybe the gears are shot. If its in good condition but the motor is no good offer as little as possible and then start hitting here and E-Bay. We will have you up and running in no time or buy all your parts:beer
Check this site for your Year and Make of Trike. It gives you the Schematics for your bike untill you get a manual. How much you paying?

Welcome to the boards. The 110's are good little trikes in my opinion. Yes, they do have the hi/low on them. The one I've had since I was a kid has taken a beating and is still solid. (rode it like a mad man and never looked back):naughty: I always changed the oil and made sure the maintenance was done on it. I would check it out first, 125$ don't sound too bad, if it is in good condition and can be fixed for cheap. Good luck. :D
