Hi,

I am about 90% done buying my ATC 250R, and i need to know a good tire recommendation for the front, its pretty badly weather cracked. What tires are available for the front? just knobbies? or can I go a turf style tire?

I will be riding alot of trails, a little bit of sand, and probaly a little, very tiny amount of mud (if any at all)

By the way, this is a 1984 ATC 250R

Thanks,

Curtis

I think the kenda Front Max is the greatest front tire for a 3 wheeler. But that's my opinion.

willcamach,
Can you elaborate more on why the Kenda is better than Dunlap?
Just curious.

How does the front max wear compared to other tires? (the lugs in it is what concerns me)

The Kenda is a Better Tire The Lugs are Huge and she points ya where ya steer. Plus you cant beat the price.

I have had that tire on my 350x for around 3 years and still has tons of tread on it. I would perfer the OEM tires on it, but I didnt know they were available til after I bought this one. But for the money it works great for me.

basicaly whats already been said sandrooster. i feel like it steers way better with that tire over the dunlop and it cost way less. plus i just like the agressive look of the tire

Ahh, Maxxis all trak, but is there a reason for running them with the points facing in the direction that they are? Is one way better than the other? I'm looking at tires for trail riding on a fourtrax 200. A little mud a little sand a few hills and dirt. your basic trails. Any other suggestions for rear tires? I'm gonna go with the front max. Tires are free so I can get whatever. I'll also have a pair of 22x11-8's to give away that are in real good condition if someone needs then when I get new tires. They are about 80 percent there if not more. They are Nankang Bushwhackers. I'll probably get new ones two fridays from now so if anyone wants them just let me know.

The tire is directional.
