Does anyone have any Kawasaki Tecates from the 80s? Like a 84 250cc. Do they run strong? Do they always break down or always need repairs?
Is Kawasaki a good brand of bike? Or are they crap? Were there 1980s three wheelers dependable?

I've got the 85 Tecate 250. You won't be disappointed with it in any aspect if its in good shape. Expect to replace the stator and flywheel because they self destruct and the carb may need some parts like the needle seat replaced. I upgraded my carb to a larger flatslide for more hp and no problems.

Lots of power, the swingarm is too short for the power given so the front end is often in the air. The top speed is around 70mph and gets there damn quick.

So whats your story, find one for cheap?
