I have the polishing wheels and bricks, I cant rember the brand of them. I used Zepher show polish for the final stage of the polsihing, it sealed up the bling pretty well. And Lonesome those socks are so comfortable.

Well what I did step for step is,

I first cleaned off all te parts with soapy water. Once I finished that , I sprayed each part with acid to get some off the corrision off so I wouldnt have to spend so much time getting it started with the first polishing brick. So once I did that, I took my heavy duty angle grinder and put the polsihing wheel on it, I then put it in a fairly big vice to anchor it to somthing. Once I did that, I turned it on applied the polishing brick to it, and took my silencer and slowly started polishing it, I moved it like a type writer, Where I would start at one end and move it down in a straight line to the other end. I spent at least an hour with the the first polishing brick on it (first polishing brick is real grittie) Once I did that, I applied the second polishing brick to the polsihng wheel, I did the same thing as last time as far as moving the silencer goes, but it took me about 25 minutes to do this step. I then swapped the polishing wheels out to a softer wheel and applied the last brick to it, I moved the silencer the same way before and this time I spent about 15 minutes doing this step. Once I finished up with that, I took some Zepher polishing compound and apllied it to the silencer rubbed it on in a circluar motion, I let it sit for about 20 minutes untill it was chalky and I dusted it off.

For the carb, I took the good ole dremmel and about 5 different polishing wheels for it and I went at it. I used, Tapered bits, Reverse tapered bits, soft and hard 2" wheels and tiny tapered wheels. I spent about 3.5 hours on the carb doing this. I used the same stuff as the silencer but on a much smaller scale, once i was done I got some Q-tips to apply the Zepher compound in the hard to get places, agian I let it sit for a whiel and dusted it off.

I still need to polish the clutch and stator covers, along with the waterpump cover, everything allmnium will be polished.

Ill chrome the pipe, and I plan on doing a candy apple red paint scheme for it.

Oops it is for a project, I need to get done by March.

Cool,Thanks for that.I couldn't get the soft wheels to do a good job.I ended up using the hard cones, wheels, etc. for all of my polishing I did.I didn't use the Zepher.I will have to get me some.
Thanks Again,
Justin
