Yep.... same part number as the one they list for the 81-82 250R that I have on my R. Not sure why it wouldn't work on a 86 or 87 SX? Did they change the rear shock on those models? (Not a 250SX guru by any means) Does the Big Red and 250SX have different rear shocks?

Pretty sure that the SX and ES use the same shock. I do find it strange that Progressive would use the same spring for an SX and an R:wondering .
