View Full Version : ATC 200 switch under tank??

can someone tell me what the little button connected to the pulse generator and mounted directly below the gas tank...its a button which i can press and it stays on until i press it again......this is on an 1982 ATC 200. i will get a pic later if i can....any info would be appreciated!

I dont really now at all what it could be but I am thinking it could be to pressurise the tank. Does your gas tank have a pressurised gas cap. If it doesnt that is then probably to pressurise it.

Not really sure, unless you are refering to your comprssion release lever?

nope not to pressurize the tank and its not the decompression lever.......its electrical whatever it is....lol.....i will gets some pics asap....thanks anyway

Sounds like someone has Rigged a switch of some sort on there!, take a pic and lets see, i know my ATC200 same year didnt have a switch there.

Please also trace the wires and tell us what they are connected to... If it stays actuated when you press it and it is wired to the electrical system then it is most likely an add on kill switch, for theft prevention.
