My new Tecate project - moved from open

I just thought I would share a pic of my new project I bought a few weeks ago. Its a 1985 KXT 250. I got it for $50 off a friend who found it sitting in someones back yard for years. I was told it hasnt been run for years. They said that the ignition went out and while they were getting new parts they lost the cover and then somewhere along the line they lost the new parts so it just never got put back together. So Now its mine and its getting a total rebuild with maybe some upgrades. I currently have a 1982 Honda 250r and a 86 350x. Anyone know where to get the best deals on plastic's, expansion chamber and any other performance parts. Its red now but I am going to the Kawasaki green. So what do you all think?

Good find for $50. But whoever spray painted that should have their painting priveliges revoked and their little fingers chopped off.. lol.

Yeah, the black paint sucks. But in time it will be good as new. I will post pics as time goes on.

I will be sticking with it untill it is finished. If we start racing the ATC's in Marysville then this is the one I would like to use.
