Digging up old threads but does anyone know who was doing these 330 engines? It seems I need a piston and I have no idea what piston was used.

I got a 300cc Kit from Corey Sprock, billet cool head and intake too. 76mm stock bore.

Yeah I had one too. This is a stock head with an 80 mm bore with an iron sleeve. It had to of have a cylinder spacer too. But I will have to have one made when I figure out what piston I need.

I have a 300 and a 330. The 330 piston is from a jet ski. I have a brand new one in the box if you want part#s.

That may help. Is your 330 a t4 engine? If so that's the same 76 mm piston as the 300 for the t3.

Greg at Off Road Innovation would be able to answer that question. I believe he has built a few.

My 330 is for my T4 and the 300 for my T3. They are different sizes. I don't have a spare 300 to take pics of. Here's the 330.

I texted with Corey earlier and he said he did a few 330 t3's using a Polaris piston. After looking at those it was clear that's not what I have. After exploring a hunch some more I am on the hunt for a wiseco 231 p3 or p4. It turns out it is a Yamaha dt360 piston. I got the topend cheap assuming I would never find a piston for it and I may not still but I am a step closer. The last topend I had to find a piston for took 2 weeks(probably 20-25 hrs) of looking at hundreds of pistons. I nailed this one down in about 24 hrs so I'm happy about that. Thanks for trying to help rob, I do appreciate it. Now to figure out who was doing these back in the day. My guess would be klemm but there is no markings at all. I will have to get ahold of him and pick his brain I guess.

Oile has a Klemm BB T3, send him a PM. I don't remember what size it was but it is larger than mine for sure.
Let me get some pics up. It's a 327 made by Harry Klemm

Can you post a pic of the intake. I need one.
The Sprock Racing Billet intake works good if you are using an open filter w/OutWear, if you are using the stock airbox the billet intake is much thicker than the stock intake boot.
If you are wanting to run the stock airbox, jesweinhart makes nice OEM reproductions.
Oh yea, this info is only for the 1st gen T3, I don't have a 2nd gen.

Here are some more pics of the 327 cylinder
Does this look like yours just ben?

That looks like the beast I'm dealing with. My piston is slightly different, instead of having windows on the intake side it' cut out like the side but goes up higher. I was able to confirm the piston I have is a 231p2. There is on on eBay but I have to go to the next bore which probably will be it's last since it's not a very thick sleeve to begin with. Do you have the spacer plate? If so can you get a measurement of the thickness ? Also is there head mods done on yours? The head that came with mine looks to be untouched.

You should contact: http://off-roadinnovation.com/kawasaki_kxt250_tecate_3_parts.html
They sell the cool heads and other tecate stuff. I have not seen Corey post much lately, his username on here is TriTecate350x.

CWR still lists a 330 kit, and a 295 kit. I don't know if the 300 kits you are talking about are true 300cc or if they are rounded to that, but, you may want to contact Greg and see if his pistons are what you need.

Here's a few parts for that 327 cylinder spacer, head gasket and the head. The head on the right is a stock head

thanks for the pics , that is indeed what I have. Are you positive it was made by klemm? beside a piston I am going to need a spacer and a head gasket. I will have to get ahold of Harry this week.

I talked to harry klemm yesterday, he wasn't able to give me much info since these were done 20+ years ago. Can you measure the thickness of the spacer for me Oile? I think that is all I am going to need to get this beast in running order again. I am going to have some base and head gaskets made too, if you need any for your topend.

So any news on the pistons? Ive heard so many times about these jet ski pistons and such. Both my cyl are on last bore and if re sleeveing is required this may be an option. There is little to no info on big bore Tecates.

There is little to no info on big bore Tecates. I believe the kits available now all use a modified watercraft piston. The piston I was looking for was sourced from a vintage Yamaha dirt bike.
sorry just ben I didn't see that you asked me for the spacer thickness. give me a little bit and I will get you that info..

So, whats the biggest size a 2nd gen can be built out to?

Depends on how much you want to spend. The 295 kit is pretty common with the 76mm jetski piston, which can go out to 78mm. A stroker and custom sleeve can get you to 351, but its not cheap. Ride a 295 before you spend the money. I have a Trinity 295 and a Sprock 295 and they run with my 500.
