Congrats!

The magnets on the stock flywheel are glued on and are prone to coming loose on all Tecates so if your stator is fine it would be worth the money to replace the flywheel to solve this problem. www.rickystator.com for the flywheel.

The 86 Tecate KIPS motor is completely different from the first gen T3 but only the top speed was faster. Stock hp for the 85 is 37hp.

Gettin some pics of this thing?

Just one thing, if you want to save your stock stator, buy a rickystator flywheel! Otherwise you Will spin the magnets off and ruin the stator! Also it will cost you more money if you do. Check and see if you have a rickystator flywheel, pull the flywheel off, and see if the magnet are in 4 different peices. If they are than it will be a Kawi flywheel! And if it is just the same all of the way around(one peice) than it is probably a rickystator!

And if the flywheel is inside the stator then you need to sell it to me cause I said so! I'll tell you why later! Just kidding, thats proably an aftermarket and you will have to sell it to me LOL!
