i was wondering how big you can go before machine work has to be done to the case.i thought it was a 295.anybody know?

also what has to be done to the case with a 310,or 330 kit?is it as simple as removing some of the casting for the rod/crank/piston to clear?fill me in plez!!!!!!!!

i know a friend with a 330 kit, it had to be machiened down to have the top end fit.

i think your right on the 295 kit, they dont need machiening.

esr sells a 330 kit that doesn't need the cases machined, you need a long rod to use it, the biggest you can go is a 310(true 310, not 295) before you have to machine the cases. Some people don't like the bolt on 330's as the sleave doesn't go into the case, it sits on the special spacer plate, and you can only bore it 3 times as the piston is too big to fit into the un-machined case. I'd go with a 310pv, the bigger bores make more torque, but don't have the revving of a smaller bore, also the bigger bores are hell on your counterbalancer, replace/rebuild them if you are even thinking of going with a big bore.
