Anyways I was wondering what the difference is between the DG head and cylinder made for the '81-'82 and the ones made for the '83-'84?
I noticed one the 81-82 head the fins are shorter on one side. Is this the same as the 83-84?
Any info would help....
Thanks...

yes on the 83 84 they are shorter too, its so the exhaust will fit....84 was made with higher compressin ratio

well I still need more info on this topic. I know hondaline and mugen also make aftermarket cylinders for the 250r. I belive the exaust port is different between the 81-82 and 83-84on the stock cylinder what I was wondering was with a aftermarket cylinder from a 81-82 what do I have to change to adapt it to fit a 83-84? any ideas?

If it helps,I changed the exaust flange on my 81,and put one from a 85,to run a drag pipe on it.They are interchangeable. Also the 200x pipe will fit the 185 & 200s bikes too!My son did this to his 84 200s,and it helped that little thing out.

I wanna see that! I bid on a drag pipe for a 81-82 on ebay a couple weeks ago, sucker only went for 80 bucks...

anyhooo, the Mugan cylinder takes a different pipe to make it run on the aircooleds, Hondaline 300 kit you can run the stocker.
