hey damnit, i know how you feel.... i wen tout to the garage after work today.. to start dissassmbling my bike to re do it like planned, paint the frame... do a ground up resto.... anyways... when i was at glamis i was t-boned by a warrior while climbing a short dune.. causing me to roll about 3 times... upon inspection... there was no problem (other then my petcock being destoryed and a pent foot peg) well i looked at the fork tubes today cause alot of fork juice was on the floor.... well looking closer the top right fork cap (cap with the hex bolt that holds the air pressure stem) is completely broken, the stem has completely broken off...so iam in need of one.... if anyone has one please email me... cause i dont know if i will be able to find one.... its a 85 250R.... if anyone has anything... please let me know
(mods i only posted here cause classifieds wasnt getting ANY attention plus it was sorta informative)

I got a foot peg and fork cap for you, you have 85 pegs right???, 85 and 86 are different. Is only the peg or the whole plate bent, as I have 85 peg plates also(nos).

For future references, just because "the classifieds wasn't getting much attention" is not a valid reason to make a classified elsewhere on the forum.

I just broke mine off at jawbone canyon last weel when I rolled a hill. I bought one from my dealer, the entire cap assembly with the valve and the black plastic top cap is about $65.00. They are still available from honda. Mine was spewing oil everywhere before I even noticed I broke it. Good luck...Dove.

Save your money and put the cap in a lathe or vise and drill press and drill out the old stem. Buy a pair of new metal/chrome stems from you local auto parts store or tire dealer and install it into the cap and your set. Do the same to the 2nd cap and you'll have a matching set for less than $5 and the $$$ left in your wallet can be used for something to make the trike go faster! Just another performance tip from Mr. Sandman.:welcome:

Sanman, that makes so much sense I'm bummed I didn't think of it. I will have my suspension guy save my broken one. Sounds like you've done this before? Thanks for the tip.

I got a new set from ebay for about $30. I don't think they are oem but they do the trick. I still see them from time to time. Do a search.
