Have you tried searching through the dealer's critical parts search for the black part?? If you have done that.... crap, I'm gonna give away a secret here.... Try Canada. I just called a dealer one day, and chatted up the parts guy... He found me one part, and I have since called him back many times over... I need to send the guy a bottle of wine really, he has been that helpful.... The little known secret for NOS parts is that US warehouses are seperate from Canadian warehouses... Not to mention all the independant dealers in the UK.... Canada is your best bet though, because you don't really have to worry about exchange rates and stuff.... Just ask your Canadian contact to put it on a critical parts search, meaning they either fax it out to all the dealers or use the computer, and the dealer that has the part gets in touch with them about it. Then your contact calls you and gives you the dealer info. Careful though, some of the dealers answer in French!! Good luck!!

What do you do about the bottom portion being unpainted. You would think that they would have painted it.
Oh...if you want another one call Hurst Yamaha and Marine in Katy Texas. The owner's son said that had some NOS plastic (headlight, shrouds, etc) for the '85 Tri Z in the storage room on the top of some shelf collecting dust.
