do all 250sx's have steering locks

a the honda dealer by me there is a 250sx, I think its a 87, it has a white healdight shroud(that is what made it stand out to me), i looked at it today and it had a steering lock, never before did I see a trike with one, did all have this??? or do only 87's have them. I couldn't see the id tag on it.

I think only the 87 has them. I know my 2 85's don't.

My '86 which is red & white with a blue seat has a steering lock. My '85 which is all red does not have one.

my 86 250SX has one on it, but the 85 didnt. I think it might have been an upgrade in mid 86 for them.

I have two '85s, no steering locks on either of them.

That is pretty neat. I didnt know any of the SXs had steering locks

If you still have the little decal by the lock it also calls it a helmet lock. The "j" hook on the bottom comes up & locks a d-ring on a helmet strap. The original decal was on the triple tree above the lock.

My '86 was purchased new in the winter of '85, so it is a early build w/lock.
