What is the best utility trike?

Hey guys. I have a '84 200es that I use around the place for work. Hauling hay to horses, pulling logs, etc... I would like something with more power. What trike would you recommend. Are Big Red's pretty much it for work trikes?

I'd have to say the 85-87 Big Red 250es is the best utility trike...very versatile and has adjustable rear suspension. We all went camping one weekend on my uncle's property, the place where we were going to set up the tents and all was unreachable by car so we loaded up all our gear, ice chests, and everything into the trailer that I haul my big red with and hooked it up to my big red which pulled it all the way through a trail in the woods with a few small hills and even through some sand! The trailer must have weighed around 700 lbs or so fully loaded down..maybe more haha.

Big reds are your best bet, find a 85 or 86 for a real work horse. Check the specs page on the homesite and see what they are all about. If you want more of a sporty/utility model check out the SX as well.

Lol, yeah Big Reds are a tank, and the ole 200...lol I know they arnt as powerfull but my buddy has a 82 200e and a 83 200, The 200 is geared so low if it had a Hi-Low it would beat the big red. lol he pulls logs with the beast!! believe it of now, i have seen it. But yeah big red is the biggest work horse.

Yeah... I'd half to say the 85-87 ATC250ES for best utility trike...unless you put in a Polaris Scrambler.

The YTM200ERN's not a bad utility, just wish Yammie had given it some rear suspension!

The Yamaha 225DR that I pulled the engine out of for my DX was used by my wife for years to pull hay and other necessities around the property she grew up on with no problems. She says the thing was reliable and never had any pulling issues.

And when the horses were sold, Big Blue was parked and slowly fell apart. But at least it's heart is healthy!!

225 Tri Moto's are pretty good i think.

Ahhhmmm....A '84 200es has shaft drive and count them (5) granny gears including reverse in it's Hi/Lo axle...and you can get this powerhouse in the "older" classic Big Red style.

And then Polaris=
250 Scrambler



Me being racist to almost anything not honda would say for heavy duty go with the Big Red 250. For a sportier utility go with the SX.

And look at that, I have my 85 Big Red for sale too. $650 as is. It could really use some rear fenders and a battery. Other than that, it's beautiful. I might pick up the fenders and battery and sell it for more though. But if someone jumps on it as is right now, by all means, take it.
