It should be easy to start if it is properly tuned and you have the right weight of oil in it.
They also have electric start, so that will help a lot.

I ride my 225 in the winter. In fact I ride all of my trikes in the winter. Run some 10w30 in it & if it's properly tuned, you shouldn't have any problems starting it at -20 or -25.
Welcome to the board, BTW.

You use 10w in the winter? I thought that would be too heavy and make it hard to start. How easy does yours start? I was thinking of using 0W synthetic for wet clutchs this winter. I hear thats good.
O yea and :welcome: :w00t: :beer

I dunno bout derrick but if you keep yours outside 10W30 can be a bugger to pull over sometimes...i like the 0w40 ams oil stuff...works good :beer

Yeah, the 10w30 can be a bit stiff when it is cold, but I found it makes for better clutch operation than thinner oil when you have it warmed up due to heavy pulling through the snow. I drag the kids around on their sleds or an old tire tube quite a bit in the winter.
Never tried synthetic in my trikes, might be better than a heavier conventional oil.
