Parts off the 86' x will fit. I would check service honda to see if they have any left and also cross reference the part numbers with some other trikes like the 83-85 200x, 350x or 250r to see if they are the same.

For some reason everytime I try SH I can never figure that site out. So you can always check bikebandit or ronnies to look at the fishce and part numbers too!

Also I'm not sure if companies like durablue make an aftermarket axle or not so you might wanna check into that. Gonnna cost some greenbacks for one of them.

An add in the classifies here wouldn't hurt either.

there is always ebay but I haven't seen alot of 87' parts on there. you gotta be patient.

We need PICS!!! post some up of that badboy!

Ooops I forgot. If it's bent you can always try to have a machine shop straighten it out for you.

thanx chris you have been super helpfull.ronnies has bearing kits 83-87 but dosen't say much about the axle itself.i have restored 5 different 85's and i don't really see much of a difference, but you know how it is i'd like to get the correct one.i'm trying to keep it as factory as i can.i bought a nice set of plastics from a guy in conn.i got the electrical all squared away.engine is tip top.now all i need is the axle, brakes, and headlight.oh and i'm using a old webtv and i don't know how to post pics.thanx again

The axles are different. You can interchange a durablue axle from an 83-84 250r if you flip it over and use the 250R's brake hub and sprocket carrier. I think thats correct if memory serves. I started a thread about this a long time ago. If you do a search you might still find it and it has the answers

I am restoring an 87 as well and I'm in need of a headlight assembly. The light and the plastic shroud. I think they are the same on an 86 and 87. Would you have any leads?

yes a 83-84 250r axle will fit. this is a pic of it on and i put the rear end on my 350x.thier is a pic of the 200x axle i have.i ground the welds off to ge the hub off so if anyone got this they would need to weld another back on.

hey bhg,
i was lucky enough to find a small parts lot in a local want ad and the thing was i had to buy the whole lot.so i ended up with alot of stuff i don't need.mainly cr500 parts.if you want aftermaket ronnies.com,which is local for me,uhh ebay, and if you can get a dirt wheels magazine the advertisements in the back.places like sky cycle deal with three wheelers.i usually pick up a want ad to find parts and i will drive sometimes three or four states over to buy parts and ebay has been good to me but 87 parts are hard to find.as a matter of fact when i'm done with this one i'm gonna trade it off cause parts are hard to get.
