Does anyone know of other calipers that will mount up to a 83-85 200x without any mods??? I tried to figure out how a front caliper would work on the rear but wasn't able to do it with either brackets. I have been working on freeing up some slide pins in a few calipers but would rather buy a new one since they look like crap after pounding on them all day.

83-84 250r I know will, I think a 350x one might work too, the 83/84 250r, 350x, 86/87 200x look identical and they all use the same pads. 83-85 200x I'm not sure, but I'm told they use the same caliper as a 86/87 according to honda part numbers.

Here is the link from when I put the front caliper on the back of a 200x.
Hope it helps ,,,

Yeah I read that about 100 times but still can't see any way to do it without some other bracket. I tried both brackets and don't see how to do it. Do you have a picture of it so I can see how you did it.

No man ,,,, that was at least a couple of years ago and I done it all by accident. I do remember using a washer to space something and to bleed the system I had to raise the caliper up (with 1 bolt in place ) to get the bleeder at a higher position.

The only way I see possible is with just one bolt being used to mount it to the swinger. The bottom bolt won't line up since the caliper hits on the rotor. I've tried everything I can think of and no luck. I might just make a new mounting plate with an offset so it will work. Does anyone know where to get good used calipers. I've got a guy coming over right now to buy my Big Red for $$1000 so money doesn't matter.

I believe I have several 83-85 calipers for the 200x. Which one do you need? Bob

Both the front and rear if the caliper isn't froze up.
