Hi dudes
i`ve just scored a major find on ebay, i now own a parts manual and numbers breakdown for the 1987 ATC250RH!!!
The parts catalogue states the area codes for where the 87 250r was available as being England, Canada and Australia.
i won`t be posting any part numbers as we are researching this area at the moment but please ask any questions you want.:w00t:

I have one like that for the 81-83 250R's, and one for just the 81 250R.

However, that's great and all, but Honda does all the paper work BEFORE they go into a "production" run. It'll be interesting if you find any of the "special parts" from the '87. Go to Service Honda... they have a good parts look-up. www.servicehonda.com

Are there any huge differences you can see in the parts schematics besides the color and whatnot? Did it have an ignition key?

Hi Bruce
yep the 87r had keyed ignition, and a completely different front brake caliper, also obviously totally different decals for rear fender, and scoops and headlight. the manual states that the 87r was only available to canada, england and australia so there may not be any parts in usa.

Oops... me bad.... yeah... the Europe only part numbers may not come up on ServiceHonda.com I bet PetesATC would be a great guy to let into the part research. He's got some connections over ther in the UK!

So an 87 250R would have had a key, did the 87 TRX have a key? I know the 87 200X had a key, anyone ever here rumors of an 87 350X?

This guy might of had an 87 350X. He swapped alot of parts with an 86 though, so he got beaked pretty hard. It's kinda cool though.

that caliper looks like a 86 350x caliper, they will fit on 85/86 250r's.
