well i have had nothing but problems with this damn 110 but i am almost done.... i have stripped the crank threads(well i didnt but i finished them off) I have tried to find a place to re-thread the crank several times, i have come to the decision to just replace the crank with another one i have.
is there anything i should keep in mind while cracking the case of the motor??
anything helps
thanks

Take your time when splitting a motor. If you have the space, lay everything out in the order you removed it. This will save a lot of headaches when you put it back together. ;)

Digital pictures! And when splitting or reassembling the cases, dont let them go crooked, they have to pull apart and press together perfectly straight or youll have to force them together, and thats BAD!

Since I have not ever taken one apart, do you see alot of issues using the current gaskets, as long as they come off clean, I currently have no leaks. Although a new whole engine gasket set can be found on e-bay for about $30 shipped.

Should i replace the bearings, assuming they may look not good i would anyhow. But, if they look ok would it be wise to just replace them while i am in there?

Might as well make it as new as possible! You might break an oil seal in the process of cracking the cases anyway...
