picked my tri z up last week.....
great SCARY FUN.this is my first go on a tri , so i didnt realy know what to exspect,
she,s got alot more power than i thought it would have, it was hard keeping the front wheel down most times.
anyway after playing on it for an hour or so i went to drive it up the back of my truck and i caught the kick start on the run boards and cracked the clutch caseing.
depressed and pissed off i took it back to my garage stripped it and got it welded back up........AND BACK ON THE DIRT AGAIN SHE WENT. just as good as new ??

anyway my intentions with this tri is putting her on the road, ive been offered an yamaha 1980 IT 425 engine , will this go straight in ?? does any body know ,
the tri z engine is great but i dont want to keep burning this thing out .what im going for is something that is more for the road with reliability iif you see what i mean.........
thanks in advance for any info ......ian

The IT 425 engine has its exhaust opening angled to the right, so it would interfere with the split downtubes of the Tri-Z frame. The Tri-Z frame is a center port exhaust setup.
