I have a 1984 Honda 200x and I want to modify the top end my plans are to use web cams for the
.362 lift/ cam=$112.00
oversized intake valve=$34.00
stock exhaust valve=34.00
performance valve spring kit (with aluminum retainers) =$63.00

My problem is I have to rebore because the engine smokes, so im boring it .25 over and I want to use a 11:1 high compression piston but I don’t know where to get one at. Does anybody know of a company that sells what im looking for? Powroll sells a kit but it is way too expensive. Also what do yall think of the modifications im planning? Im hoping to be done with everything in 2 months. Also what all modifications need to be done to use an oversized intake valve? Has anybody ever used a "dial a jet" on there 200x? If so how well do they work? I have a performance exhaust, I don’t have bigger carb. Do you think I need one? I was just going to try to rejet it. Also I was wondering how well the decompression lever mod works on the 200x, is it worth doing? Thanks for any help. Rick

200x's didn't come with a decompression lever but I'm sure it would really help with the kickstarter problems they all seem to have.

I'm sure any one of the bigger atv websites have your piston. dennis kirk, bike bandit, ronnies etc.

I also think a bigger carb won't be necessary but you'll have to get bigger jets.

maybe something on this thread can help?
