Ok I was offered to buy an 85 Polaris Scrambler, all original, very clean im told and with a Rebuilt Motor and Carb. Runs and all that for $700 I wont know more till I see some pics and check out the Trike. Is it worth it? A Near Mint Scrambler is pretty rare, and I would love to own one. Would hate to see that Trike go to someone who doesnt appreciate it.
I was honest with them when I told them I didnt have $700 and said they could get around $900 but she said that they werent in a hurry. She said she would wait untill I could get the $700 Sounds like the wife finally talked her Husband into selling his Trike, like they all try.
I guess its like this. I dont have $700 nor anything close to it. If I did there are nice $700 Trikes around. Is this a Trike that makes a Person borrow money and scrape every cent together they can come up with. Or just another $700 Trike to be thought about but passed by. I passed one by allready a few years back but that was in Vermont, not down just around the way.

If it's all original and in nice shape like they say I think 700 is a real fair price but I wouldn't want to really use it as a daily rider.

I just wonder though if the all original isn't referring to the rear tires though?

With a rebuilt motor you would think it would have gone through the original tires too then?

BTW ........the whole front end IS right off a Yamaha 225, in case you didn't know.

Can we see some close up shots of it?

I know people that spend $700+ on beater, not running trikes, like my buddy with his '82 atc 200. If its in the shape they say its in I'd jump on it. I dont think original tires fall under "all original", I mean when was the last time you saw a 20 year old car "all original" with original tires. Tires, break pads and belts dont cout. On the other hand, how nice would it be if it were that original....

yea i would jump on that if you say its in nice shape, they are so rare and worth alot of money, i would take that in a heartbeat, yea i dont think tires fall under all original, they can pop, leak or get weather cracks and the average persone would probally replace them

I'm with John on this one. Go test ride it and you will be amazed! They ride like no other, definately the cadillac of ATV's. If they are serious about selling it throw some money down and go back when you get the rest. That is if it is really as nice as they say it is. As for the engine, it coul;d have sat for a long long while and something was the matter so they rebuilt it. Who knows. Just find out. Once I rode Howdy's I was just like man it sure is goofy lookin but it rides nice.

I was never a Polaris Fan, until I Jeswinehart bribed me with a Scrambler. Now I own 3 of them. To some they may not be the best looking machine, but I can safely say they are one of the best riding machines I have ever ridden. Heck, the last 3 times I went riding I left the 350x at camp and rode the P3. ;)

Im waiting to see if I will have the cash. I hope to look at it this weekend and get some pics. I asked for a personal loan in order to buy it asap. If not my Jeep needs shocks and struts.
If I cant get it I will hook anyone up that wants to buy it with the seller.:w00t:
