I have never sealed a tank befor. I am using a etch & sealer. I went through & read some of the posts on sealing but I still have a couple of questions.

There was a little bit of "gum" in one part of the tank. I used some carb/parts cleaner the kind that comes in a gallon to clean it(with some nuts & bolts). It seams to have got it out it will be easier to tell in day light. Has any one ever done this before? Can any one think of any problems from doing this? I figure it should work.

Do I need to use any thing to before I use the etch?
Thanks
Gabe

BLAZERONE22 would be the person to ask on the etch stuff. He and a few other has used that stuff with good results.
As far as myself goes, I have used the Keem method before. It didn't work worth a crap ( IMO ). So now I use "Red Kote" to seal tanks. I started using this stuff after Jeswinehart found it ( THANKS John!!! ). With this stuff you don't need to etch it. It's very easy to use and seems to be VERY durable.
