i recently bought an 83 atc 200x. its in great mechanical shape, but the rear fender is trash. can i only replace it with a fender off a 200x, or are they interchangeable? thanks in advance

1983-1985 200x fenders are interchangable. The only diffrence with the seats are the 85's are blue. I don't know if OEM ones are available but you can get nice shiney new ones at www.maier.com.

thanks. aside from me fenders being"race cut" and "race ziptied together" the front of the seat also sits like 2 inches maybe more above the tank... the whole deal works but looks crappy. does anyone have a rear fender in nor california they want to sell? or if i could fix the seat without replacing it that would be nice

That's a common problem with the 200X seats. Mine is about an 1" or so from the tank. Over time, the seat cover, pulls on the plastic seat pan and causes it to pull away from the tank a bit.

i have 2 extra seat pans with crapped out fenders if anyone is looking, i believe a good way to get the seat back to where it is supposed to be is taking a heat gun and bending it back

does that work? heating the bottom and bending it?
