Well I got it done in time,, its ready to run and the drags are on Sunday... Took me 3 weeks from start to finish.. I started with a bare frame with no motor mounts, made all the mounts for the tank, fenders, and breaks.. The breaks came off of the front of a KH400... I also made the wheelie bar and pipe.... We ran 500 foot in the road today with a stop watch and its around 5.5 sec doing a burn out in 4 gears.... Its going to need 1.5 inch sled studs........

First time I've seen Spider Traks on a drag bike. Aren't they kinda of heavy for a drag tire?

I was thinking the same but it seems this is a budget dragster rather then a high dollar rig. Lightweight rubber thats gonna find traction is sometimes expensive.

Looks cool, I hope you guys run well at the drags. I was thinking the same about the tires. Im sure you can get some nice tires at about $50 each. Lighter and More Traction = More Speed:w00t:

Yeah but the whole bike is alittle over 200#,, so a few #'s extra in the rear tires aint much... Plus the the drags aint a regulated race on a hard dry track.... Its a big bash where all the redneck get together in a farmers feild, with a good chance of rain so some light weight paddles arnt a good choise.... You race whatever you have bikes, trikes, quads, sleds, trucks and dune buggy's,,,,,,, there is no classes just grudge matches and you go home with bragging rights.....

dont use 1.5" studs, they will bend over for one, and eventually they will rip out, trust me ive done it with our drag quad...get ice screws and ccut out every 2 rows of lugs on some 20" turf tamers, that will be all you need for a 250R...studs are WAY overkill for any 250 or any stock motored quad, if you use a sled engine or a bike engine and its in a good drag chassis it will need studs, that the only time.as a matter of fact we cut off more than a 1/4 inch off of our drag quads studs, and we used 1.6" studs....
