I have a klt 160 and you cannot jumpstart it, it rolls in every gear without kicking in at all, However if you pullstart it ,it works perfect. Any idea what this could be. Also if you're rolling down a hill compression braking it it will kick out of gear unless you keep it revved up?
Thanks

Woah thats weird, maybe your clutch is slipping. Or your gears are messed up.

Sounds like you have clutch problems. I don't know for sure what set up you have, but it is probably a centrifugal style auto clutch. If you let off the throttle, & the clutch disengages then you most likely have worn clutch disks. Does the engine rev real high, before it moves?

no, they don't slip at all while running it, even jamming it into gear, Maybe it is the transmission.

Probably the tranny then. Sorry to say...

Ok, well I guess it's not a big deal it still works good. Just have to rely on the pullcord not to break.
