Hey guys, having a heck of a time with my trike today. Got home from school and fired it up, noticed it was smoking more then usual then it fouled the plug during warm up. The night before I had cleared a blockage in the bowl where the choke draws its gas from and the bike fired up and ran fine for the 5 mins I rode it before I went to bed. Today the bike is steady flooding itself, every time is starts and runs it fouls a plug within 30 seconds of running at idle...opening the throttle fouls it faster. Stock 85 carb with the 40 pilot, 310 main and needle in the richest setting, mix is 30:1. Whats up?

Maybe either junk in the float needle, or a bad needle or bad seat. Im guessing junk in the fuel system because you had to clear a blockage somewhere. A little speck of junk so small you cant see it in the needle can cause this.

I have a ytm200EK from 83 and it sounds just like my case..... I recently bought a new float needle i think it will stop the problem!
