225 dx ?

I pulled my 225 out today & cleaned up the carb put in new gas & it started first pull but it got warm & started sputtering & missing . any ideas what might be up w/it ? .also the clutch slipps how much can i turn the adjustment screw ?

is your idel screw right? Do * have any air leaks? * can only turn the skrew a lil bit i mean when * turn it , you will be like did i even turn it. Lol so it very littel. Does it miss and make funny sounds after is it warm and * give it gas? Mine kinda goes puut then sounds like its ganna turn off but doesent when its ideling somtimes.

Plug chops are for two strokes.
Sounds like carb trouble to me. Running too rich. Either the floats are set too high, A/F mixture screw is set wrong or crud in one of the jets. Pull it apart & give it another good cleaning. Also, make sure the air filter is clean.
As for the clutch adj. Loosen the locknut, turn the screw CCW until resistance is felt, turn it CW 1/8 of a turn & retighten the locknut.

Did you put a new plug in it? If you didnt, do that first.

Blast out the jets with compressed air.This "mite" help.
