Hello I'm Cragster and Im starting my 200x project!:beer
As most of you know im selling my 200sx for cash for this project.
Well I thoght you guys could use some pictures and vid's of the trike.
Im on dial up so you guys better appriciate these. I will let the videos upload overnight probably so i dont have to wait and wait and wait, OK.

Mechanical things first of course but, the 250R gas tank and 250sx headlight have to go. The tanks and headlights of the 86-87 200x are sweet looking so it would look a ton better with the proper ones on there.

If you buff that R tank out real well you might get a decent amount for it on ebay.

Yes i need the exhaust fixed and the engine broke where the motor mounts to the motor mount lol. Itll be fixed though. The major thing with the gas tank is that you cant turn it all the way. Brapp found me a tank tho i tihnk!

In it's present condition you might get that. Probably a little less. If the tank is in good condition other than the sun fading though, you can wet sand that crap off, buff it out until it's smooth and glossy and get a much better price for it. Just depends on how much work you want to put into it.

i like em better than nobbies on 200sx! I think there pretty cool. And at least it came with new tires. Yes its a project and i need a new axel hub shock in the rear end....but i found the rear end for 100 bucks not including hub so its all good.

We have started disassembling the 200x.
We got off the tank,fenders,seat,airbox lid,carb,all cables,brake/clutch levers, handlebars, headlight,grababr,switch,exhaust,mastercylinder cover and some others. We hope to have it down to frame within few days.

Well I got 500 bucks this week from selling my xbox/psp!
I bought that rear end tongiht. I have the axle,swibngarm,shock now. Turns out it was a 250r shock on it before. It needs rebuilt. the swingarm is good though. I might try and sell it.I need Hubs, but i think i found some. I need a tank but i found me one.
So now im going to buy my hubs,tank,plastic,bars(christmas,moose dirtbike prolly, will that ok?) that right there is like 350 or less prolly.

I had a halo xbox modified with green lights too! and a 120gig harddrive!

OK guys!
Wellll i got my ebay parts. and arnt fully satisfied.
I paid 67 plus shipping for tank
and 21.50 plus shipping for hubs
the tank has some rust under it that i wasnt aware of and its fins are broke/not the right ones! Once dad gets home ill take some pics! Im going outside now to make sure if the hubs fit it! well i think they fit. But arn they messed up? They can turn without turning the axel. Is this because theyre not bolted on?

the hubs turn with out turning the axel huh? Thats not too good, check the spines on it, are they worn really bad on the hub/ axel? maby you dont have the right size axel/ hubs right now?

i odnt know about hubs/axels really. I dont think they look worn and they sem to fit on there ok. If they aint the right size, do ya think the guy will give me my money back? 'mohawksalvage' from ebay? if not, i know a guy locallly might. i dont know ill have dad look at them tonight. i slid them on and tried to turn them and i could,like they could slide over the axel,theyre are ridges on them though. i dont know im pisses off because im 14 and i aint got money to replace sh!t!

Dude, I think my tank could have saved you some cash for ~$30 shipped.... Good luck though, and be careful what you buy. Don't be in a hurry because then mistakes will happen. If at all possible ask the sellers for dimensions and diameters and spline counts, things like that. Don't be afraid to ask for more pics too... James

well it turns out the ebay guiy sent me the wrong hubs. One of hubs are good from other axle and im going to attept to cut the welds on the other hub where it was welded on and use it.....Ill have it puttied and painted anyway.
anyone want to buy these hubs? I dont kn ow what they are.....just a lil bigger than a 200x.

i tlaked to the ebay guy and told him and he said...oh **** those were 350x hubs sorry and he gave me 35 dollars back ( i paid 31.50) and he let me keep em and was very very nice about it! So does anyone need 350x hubs?

OK guys i took a few pics of my atc a min ago.....An what my tank looks like...Keep in mind it will be white.

There is my new axel/swingarm. Whenever the hell dad has time ill have him grind the welds and we shall see if the other hub is usable.....

if you want some new hubs 300ex or 400ex will work just fine. i bought some for about 70 bucks form a guy on ebay. brand new still in the honda box. take your time and don't rush it, it'll get there.:beer

Got me them shrouds off muddy200x. there gonna need to be sanded and possibly painted!
Getting a DG exhaust this week probably. Oh and maybe that DG performance CAM off EBAY! Damnit..if only it wudnt in aulstraila...

No im buying a new rear axle,swingarm,shock for 100 bucks! SO i got that covered lol! and yes dial up sucks! But within the end of month were gettin hispeed!( thats the only thing bad about country)

cragster, good luck man. I recently bought an '83 200X that was in similar shape as yours. $2,000 later, I'm still working on the restoration. It should be pretty nice when I done, and I'll have just about enough parts to build a second X when I'm through.

By the way, I think there's a white maier '86 front fender on eBay for $15 at the moment.

really ok....Yeah i here ya but i hope i can have it done in less than 2 yrs!LOL.. That must be one nice 200x ya got. Ill check on ebay for that fender.
Parts ive bought so far:
Swingarm
Axel
Tank
Tank Shrouds
Exhuast
Chain

I think thats all. It sure will take time though. I think im also gonna buy a set of seperate rims and put some duro's on them! :p
I'm not sure if you've done an ATC restoration before (I hadn't before I started mine), but you have to watch these sellers on eBay. They'll claim a certain part is for your bike, but you get it and it's either in horrible shape that you couldn't tell from the picture, OR, and more likely, it's NOT the right part. For instance, the part might have been on an '86 200X, but it's not what should be on an '86 200X. I think you found that out with your hubs (don't worry, I way overpaid for some hubs myself that weren't that nice), although at least the guy was cool and gave you your money back.

Well i got my fornt fender!
20 bucks shipped..( i won it for 7 bucks though)
Still 25 bucks cheaper than denniskirk!
Its Dull color though.....The maier plastic on my 200sx was reallly shiny...hmmmm. weird. Anyone know what my rear fenders will be (shine/dull)?

Your doing an awesome job so far! If you use 300ex hubs it will make your rear approx 1 1/2" wider. Then you can save money on the spacers you mentioned earlier. You can check out the classifieds at www.exriders.com, usually pretty cheap too. Hope this helps, keep up the good work, Dave

Yeah i like how it'll look! I might have moshman do some white flames on a blue seat also. Unless i find a stock seat cover with ATC on the side. Painitng the tank like that wouldnt be a problem..with my father being a car painter.

Im getting 300ex hubs....and im getting 2.5 in wheel spacers! LOL. It'tt be cutting it close to not fitting in the shed...but hopefully it'll fit.

Me and dad went to work on it for about an hour or so.
Got off litle things like MC, Footpegs,wheels, etc
We got off the engine. We tried and tried to get out that gay damn swingarm bolt but it was stripped on one side! Since i have a complete other swingarm and bolt....we may just cut the swingarm out :(. But WTF else to ya do?!?!?¿ ya know.
Anyways im lazy..its christmas and i dont fell like taking pics atm. Prolly lateron tonight ill post some though
