I bought some parts from service honda a year ago. When I recieved my credit card bill it looked like they had double billed my credit card. I was not sure so I called my credit card co. They said that it was a duplicate charge and they would take care of it and not to pay it. Today I went to order parts and two hours later I received this e-mail...

Joe,

I regret to inform you that since there was a charge back on a previous order we are not able to processe an order from you. If you have any questions or problems feel free to contact my parts manager at Ext 227. Her name is Sue.

I called them and they were rude and said I can no longer order parts from them because I did not call them first before calling my card Co. They did not care that they were the ones who made the error. This is just bad business, I am in shock that they would treat anyone like that. It reminds me of the seinfeld episode with the soup nazi...... no parts for you!!

Find out who Sue reports to. Keep climbing the chain of authority until you get it taken care of but ALWAYS be polite.

Man if I got the shaft like that I wouldn't be ordering from them either. Until stuff like that happens I'm ok with anyone but once that happens that's it.

Gregg from service honda called me. He is a good guy, he fixed the problems and made the situation good. Just beware..... he said if you do a charge back on your credit card you will not be able to buy from them in the future.

That's just crappy policy there. So basically if they mess up they don't want anyone else to know but themselves.

Service honda is great, fantastic, and phenomenal if you order parts they have available ...they arrrive correctly and you like them....Spent over $3000 this year at Service Honda

BUT this soured me:rolleyes:
Two things I had problems with----- They bill you even if a part is backordered (which can be months)....After having 400.00 out of my pocket for several months waiting for 250r rims i decided enough was enough and wanted to cancel....Several weeks of phone calls to get the credit. I got apologies and stories of how someone quit..Finally got it but a struggle

You should pay when they have the part!!!!! and they can send it

The latest. I had a part number of something I wanted and called from my cell phone....Talked to someone and said they couldnt find it but gave another part number they found that was what they believed i was looking for...I ordered it and they never told me the return policy...When I got home That DAY I found the part number she gave me wasnt what I was looking for and cancelled the order before it got to far but talked to someone else ** Important**(The second person was able to find the correct number in the system i had given earlier in 30 seconds but I didnt order it because of another backorder situation, I just cancelled the first order) **Means the first person made an error in finding the right number****...A week later the wrong part shows up(the cancelled one).....I call and the second person i talked to never entered it in the notes section in the computer to cancel it....It turned into a he said she said struggle as to whether i even called AND cancelled in the first place and not to have to pay the restocking fee plus disbelief on the whether the part I originally looked for existed because no one fessed up to it (not entering it in the computer) Ended up 5 phone calls later they said If sent out the part the very next day (time was running out to get it back to Honda) and followed specific instructions they could get it back to honda with no restocking... I was busy couldnt get it out the next day, feel they treated a good paying customer whos spent good money crappy.....Listed it on ebay and broke even.

Sorry to bore you all with this but both incidents have bugged me!!! I'm sure people attempt to rook them all the time but with my history of purchases and them doubting my integrity, honesty, and knowledge rub me the wrong way.

I know alot of people on here use Service Honda alot (And I have for a few things) I however have used Midwest Action Cycle for years, and prefer their treatment of customers to Service Honda. I've only ever called once and them not had something in stock or where it couldn't be drop shipped to me and that was a ATC110 exhaust valve that had to come from Japan several years ago. Their website is https://www.midwestactioncycle.com/ they also have a little booklet/calender thing they send out with every order of parts. They are factory Honda, Suzuki, and I believe they are now a Yamaha dealership also. They carry a very nice assortment of aftermarket parts also. They are about the only Honda dealership I will deal with.

Great advice. MAC is one of my local shops and it's the only one that still understands good service. Everytime I go in they treat me good.:w00t:

lmao i love that episode. they end up blackmailing him with his own recipies. mabe the same type of karma could be used in this case to straighten up these honda guys.

dammit is right, politely get to the head honcho, and let em know they screwed up. places like that depend on their regular customers alot, and if you tell them you'll take your buisness somewhere else, they will definately apologise.

The CC company would have contacted them and hit them with a $50.00 fee, thats why they are crying. They never would return my inquiries on parts.

Double billing is a good game, they (whoever, not just S.H.) claim that "it was all by accident." I've a family member catch doctors and hospitals at it and proven it.
