Looks like it says Mikuni on it beside the choke plunger, so its not off a Honda. Clean it up and see if you can get any ID off it.

They used to make an adapter for mikuni carburetors to bolt them to a 200x, for people that wanted a bigger carb for it.

Thats definitely Mikuni- There were two mounting option "SPIGOT " or Flange. Thats a flange mount . Measure across The inlet side in MM to find a Group model
And yes there was an adapter to mate those to hondas - but probably long since discontinued

Is the throttle valve still in there? A machine shop guy could probably make you a plate on his lunch hour for a few bucks. Then all that would be left is cabling. Might be fun?

What do I need an adaptor plate for?.. I asked him if it would bolt to a 200x intake and he said yes?....
Does this seem like it will be a good carb?..
Also when people say the carb is a 22mm 24mm 26mm etc.. on what side are they measuring?

On the inlet side - All the way into the center
where the air actually passes thru is the diameter you want to measure
As far as a good carb-Try it out and see, maybe too big, maybe not-maybe jetting will bring it close to what you want, You wont know till ya try it. as far as the adapter---You have the carb and you have the bike in front of you--If it fits --Kudos
If not, make it fit-(Adapter)

OK didnt know ya didnt have it yet. Its rare to find a honda Mikuni Combo. Bigger carb should help with Higher compression

Alright I finally got this carb. I measured the carb and i am reading 28.5-29mm .. but thats not in the middle.. just on the outer edge.. I only have a ruler.
I dont see any numbers or anything on the carb, anyone have an idea of where they would be if they were on it? Also the floats are weird.. They are seperate and just seem to float around seperate from the needle valve.. not like the other atc carb's i've been into.

Look on Sudco.com, they might have a diagram. Float sounds broken, the needle should be linked to it with a wire clip. (?)

That is a VM series Mikuni. When you say the floats come away from the needle valve do you mean they stay in the float bowl? If so thats normal, my 34mm Mikuni VM is the same way. Simple carbs to work on too. Does it fit?

No I dont think the float is broken. It's just that the floats are seperate. It looks like it would work.
Yes the carb will bolt right to a 200x intake, I don't know if it will fit in the frame or not though.
Should I expect any gains from this? Is it worth the hassle? The slide is bigger, and the "in" side of the carb measures 40mm (where the filter bolts to or wtv) and my other carb is 35mm there.

Expect a little loss in bottom end and a gain in mid to topend power.
