I put a Bassani on my trike, repacked it and runs nice, sounds good.
When I hammer throttle and let it snap back, I get a little popping here and there. Does not do this all the time, just when I run it hard an let off.
This normal?

is it fully sealed between the headpipe and the silencer? and did you make sure the exhaust gasket was ok

Yeah my exhaust does that too and I love it. When I'm in neutral, give it a litle gas and hammer it, then let off it snaps really good  Gotta love the bassanis. Which trike did it go on?

Oldshell - yes new gasket, new stainless steel studs, washers and nuts. It is welded together at slip joint. No leaks at all.

250sxwheeliepop - It went on a tight 200s. It always ran rich and when I put pipe on, leaned it out perfect. Yeah, it made a big difference perfomance wise. More throttle response. A definate bottom/mid range exhaust.
Not bad idling or cruising but when you open throttle, its LOUD!
The Bassanis are Mean sounding exhaust and good tone.
Too bad Bassani does not make them anymore. I am sure if they did, they would sell a lot of them! :)
I don't want to get neighbors on farm across street pissed off so down the road this winter, I am going to get a Cobra quiet series exhaust.

Thats fine.... im pretty sure that its juss leftover fuel from when * hit it and its juss burning off from the heat of the pipe. But my 250ex does that when we have the baffles taken out.

Thats what I think too. It does not do it all the time.
That exhaust is more of a header / expansion chamber type exhaust.
It's like having headers and glass packs on a Chevy 350 then letting off going down a hill. Will shoot flames out the sidepipes!
(this used to happen in our Camero)

I got it off a board member here. Cost 40 bucks shipped. No holes and burned off the paint already. Repacked it also.
