What do you guys think about this? Does this thing have 1985 fenders and gas tank? It's really close to me and he is asking $700.

It's a 86 in 85 sheeps clothing.

That's what I thought. What do you guys think about the price? A little high? It is the last year though, I have a pic of the serial tag, it is an 87. I assume I can get Maier rear plastic? Will I need a new seat? How hard are the gas tanks to find? And I guess I can but Maier scoops. This should have a key on it so I guess that's cool if it does.

If you are looking for something to ride then yes I would buy it. As for replacing the tank, seat, and plastic it might be pricy and take some time to find. Parts are out there but you may have to wait a few weeks to find ones in the condition and price you want.

WTF:crazy:

Bring $600 cash and drive home with a nice trike you can have lots of fun on. Not everything has to be original to make for a fun trike.

600 sounds great, 700 if you must have it!

in az 700 is average, ive seen crappy ones go for more than that.

id buy it if i were you, those 200x's are a blast in woods and hills, i rode an 85 200x my grandpa owns, it only has about 10 hours on the bike, i rode it for a week straight. long story short, it was a blast.

Doesn't look bad at all but we are not really seeing it up close either. If in decent shape, which it looks like it may be, 700 ain't bad at all for a "87".

Makes you wonder what happened to all the 87 plastic? Maybe you can track it down? Once you find and buy 87 plastic, seat, etc,etc,....... simply sell what's on it now and you shouldn't have to shell out much $$ at all then.

The 85 or whatever plastic on it wouldn't satisfy me looks wise at all. I think the 87's are a lot more pleasing to the eye and then next in line are the 86's.

Just tell the guy it may be worth the 700 to someone but your main interest is to get it back to the original look which will take some time and $$. Offer him 575 and go from there. :beer

Hey Blown

That's not a bad price at all for an 87. But I 've seen tanks go on ebay for astronomical prices. Parts are difficult to come by. If you really want an 87 I would pass this one by. with this being said please email me the phone number. thanks. ;)

It's probably worth it for $700 considering it's an '87. As long as it is mechanically sound. Shouldn't be that difficult to find '86-'87 plastic, seat, and a gas tank. I just got an '86 200X recently and have seen plenty of parts for sale. Not as much stuff out there as '83-'85 parts, but still plenty.
