depends who you talk to. I like 4 strokes therefor the 350x is my choice. Now if you like 2 strokes a 85-86 250r is what you want.

The 350x is the 4stroke of 250R's. Yes, I would say it would be great for jumping. Its a sports trike. Just like a 450r is a sports quad. It likes to go fast. It likes to jump. It likes to race. I would go for the 250R only because I'm a 2 stroke guy. 350x is still really nice though.

I've heard of 350x's cracking their frames from jumping so you decide. I believe 350xhilleration had this happen to his.

I have one of each and they are both nice machines in their own respective application. The 350X is an excellent low-speed trail/mud machine and the 250R is more of an all-out open dune/racer machine that likes is happier at WOT. :)

FYI is on the right track. Quit trying to get the best and get both, cause they are the pinnacle of threewheeler engineering in they're own respects.

Looks decent to me, & that is Canadian money your play'n with right? So talk him down a couple hundred and go fer it, especially with a whole other trike worth of parts!

I think they are equally good for their own purpose:beer . That means we need one of each:w00t: .

They are totally different animals, although both created with fast riding in mind. The 250R has REALLY fast riding in mind---the 2-stroke likes to scream, and when it's screaming, you'll be holding on very tight! The 250R has 39 HP vs only ~25-27ish HP for the 350X, and the 2-stroke hit is way more violent. The 350X is plenty fast, but not violent, it is very trail friendly and mild it you want it to be. The 250R likes more open terrain and expects you to ride it like you stole it. :beer

i would say go with the 350x, well i like 4 strokes better, if ya like 2 strokes go with the r. the 350 will be way more reliable and less problems to worry bout, my friend has a r and is always rebuilding it.

i own both, and a 85" 350x and 86" 200x as well. The 350x is a great trail machine that you can ride as fast as you want all day. The 250r wants to be wound tight and ridden hard and tires you out after a couple hrs. I just said hell with it and bought them both.
