86 250r rear fenders

[85 250sx]

Hello i was wondering what the difference was in oem 250r fenders and Maier rear fenders? I have always heard that the oem ones look better, but in what aspect? and how can you tell them apart? I tried to sand my rear fenders but i did not get the finish i was hoping for (after many many hours). So im now trying to find out if i have oem fenders or Maier fenders if there oem ill keep sanding, if there Maiers im busting out the spray bottle. (I have feeling there Maiers)

Have a picture? The factory ones the warning labels are part of the plastic, the meier ones have no warnings on them. If you have the older meiers with the flat finish, you might be sanding till you know what freezes over. LOL!!!

Well these have no warnings on them so i guess im making a trip to wallmart tomarrow to get some krylon fussion paint. Now should i keep it red or change the color scheme around :eek: :naughty:

actually,,, 85 fenders didn't have warnings molded in like the 86 fenders do ,,,
maier fenders don't have the nice clean sharp lines like oem,,, and the number plates are bigger,,,,
