ATC70 got in running!!!

Thanks 42F67N, I got the lil guy running this afternoon. I put the throttle restrictor screw in and put my little boy on it ( he is 3 1/2 and he idled around the yard. Now he thinks the sun rises and sets on that lil 70.

All I did was put a carb kit in it and a new plug. I still have some tweaking to do. It doesnt idle great. I have played with the fuel air ratio and the idle screw and I get it pretty good but within a minute it will either idle way up or all the way down and stall.

Man this is fun I cant wait to get this one perfect and start another rebuild .

Great to hear you got it running!! I know all too well about kids on a atc70. When I got my first one my boy ran it out of gas and then pushed it around until I could get more gas ( about 1/2 hour ). I bet the first month we had it he rode 20-30 miles a day. He rode it so much he wore out 2 sets of brakes. Now he likes to do tricks on it ( thanks to Yamaha_Jim ).

One thing to remember though. Always make sure he has a helmet on. Better safe than sorry. And get us some pictures!!
